The spreadsheet verifies some configurations of lifting lugs and padeyes. Different worksheets are reported for a complete verification of common configurations.

Lug subjected to vertical and sloped applied load
Design of a lifting lug with overlapping plate joint to sloped force
Design of a lifting padeye with stiffeners
Checks of the geometry of the lug
Verification of the failure modes of the lug: Tensile Rupture of Lug, Bearing Capacity of Pin on Hole, Shear Yielding to Edge of Plate, Tension Tear Out to Edge of Plate
Calculus and verification of the stresses on the loaded sections due to tension, shear, bending and torsion moment
Welding verification between lug and the bottom plate. Two dimensioning cases: fillet welding, full penetration welding
Additional verifications are performed using standard technical literature and Eurocode norms.
